DESCRIPTION: Large sized [in width], hot growing epiphyte with a short stem carrying 3 to 6, fleshy, elongate, cylindric, canaliculate leaves and blooms in the spring on successive, axillary, 6.2 [15.5 cm] long, to 5 [13] flowered inflorescence with triangular, adpressed floral bracts and carrying fragrant flowers.

Paraphalaenopsis denevei (also called 'Deneve's Phalaenopsis', 'Deneve's Moth Orchid' and 'Moth Orchid', among many other common names) is a terrestrial orchid native to Southeast Asia. It grows to a height of up to 60 cm and has long, narrow leaves. It grows best in partial shade and prefers moist, well-drained soils.
